Nintendo "rumors" Gameboy Color Games
Nintendo, how I've always loved and appreciated some of your older titles. I was a fan of games such as Harvest Moon, Pokemon, and Super Mario. You've done good entertaining me through my youth. Lately, we've seen rumors that Nintendo is going to be releasing Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance titles towards their Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
What does this mean for gamers out there?
If you look at Nintendo and their influence they've had towards millennials you will know we take our gaming seriously. When a rumor is thrown around that our old games will be transitioning to our new consoles it makes our gaming hearts beat.
According to the Eurogamer's news editor, Tom Phillips, he's talks about Game Boy and Game Boy Color games being part of the subscription.
"I would anticipate that Game Boy and Game Boy Color are part of the current Nintendo Switch Online service and they [Nintendo] didn't want to conflate the two."
We desperately WANT to see titles such as Pokemon, Metroid, or Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 to pop up on our Switch.
Twitter user Trashbandatcoot discusses what he found on 4Chan which is considered a leak of Nintendo Game Boy Advance emulators. Does this confirm that Nintendo wants to add the emulator to their Switch subscription service?
If the leaks are credible what could this mean? It could probably mean that Nintendo will plan to develop the games to work on the Switch and in the future we could see these games. There hasn't been any confirmation that this is going to happen, but I'm pretty positive, that it WILL happen. It just has to! I want to play old school Pokemon on my Switch.
