The Epic Video Game Bus Takes Over San Diego!
I met with business owner Travis Murray, CEO of The Epic Video Game Bus, located in San Diego, is a state-of-the-art mobile video game bus. Travis has taken his passion towards gaming and brings it to children across San Diego to entertain them for their birthday's and events. Travis prides himself over his bus's ability to bring advanced mobile video game services to someone's home. Travis started his business late in 2019 and became fully operational in 2022. Originally, Travis started a video game tournament company in 2011 called 760 LANS. He hosted tournaments that ranged from Call of Duty, Gears of War, and various fighting games. His passion towards Esports is what drove him to work harder in the entertainment industry. It wasn't until 2012 when he attended a tournament in Los Angeles called ReveLAtions where he saw another video game truck. His experience there as a consumer drove him to want to pursue a career out of this.
As he was trying to find ways to work in the gaming industry, he decided to purchase a party bus and transition it into a mobile gaming bus.
What does the party bus include?
Amenities you can expect when riding the bus are popular video game titles such as Call of Duty, Minecraft, & Fortnite. It includes nine 27" Ben Q 144hz monitors equipped with Nintendo Switch's, XBox's, and PS4's. He also owns and operates another party bus that has been turned into a Nerf war zone. You can take your kids to play laser tag and Nerf wars. He plans on hosting Nerf Wars during the Summer of 2022.
How long can you host a party?
There are quite a few options you can choose from when planning a party. These can range from 1-3 hours of fun. You can also choose which type of party bus you want to pick. You can either pick from the original Video Game Bus or you can host a laser tag party combined with gaming.
